If anyone is looking for a meaningful trip in Lombok, off the beaten track but in very safe hands, these are your people!Eka helped us to organise our trek to Rinjani, and it was perfect! We had an excellent guide who took us in a smaller group and tailored our trek to how we were feeling throughout.Eka has great knowledge of the area and we went to a lovely local coffee plantation where we were able to relax and take a look at the plants, plus drink delicious coffee.Overall, Eka and Effy are doing amazing things and it was inspiring to spend time with them learning about the culture, environment and sustainability movements in Lombok.They are so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Loved it!
My partner and I did the food tour at the Night Market via Lombok Hidden Trip with Eka. This was definitely an experience we will never forget! Eka brought us along different warungs (food stands) in the city to give us a taste of big variety of food that Lombok has to offer. My husband and I did the walking tour with Eka in July 2018 (sorry it has taken us a while to write this!) Our time in Mataram was an unexpected highlight of our 3 week trip to Bali and Lombok.We really enjoyed the walking tour with Eka as we really got a locals feel for what is a fairly rarely visited city despite the being so close to the tourist hubs of Bali and Lombok itself. We enjoyed visiting both the mosque and church and learning about the history of the island; the highlight for us was enjoying lunch with our guide Eka at a very local restaurant at the end of the tour.More than 2 years on we still think back to the great time we had on the walking tour and in Mataram in general; we truly felt welcomed by the friendly (though unintrusive) locals which made it a refreshing break the usual hotspots we also visited. Mataram was a great insight into the daily lives of the beautiful people of Indonesia, we would recommend any visitor to Lombok should put Mataram on your itinerary and go on Eka's walking tour!
